What's New

 Updated index for search as of Mon Apr 15 03:00:00 EDT 2002. Slight improvements to the CGI and now have a simple-ish process to update the index. I did not update the static files or the rest of this document. They are current as when I wrote them on Wed Jan 9 05:08:30 EST 2002. I suspect I'll update them less often since they require using my brain.

Introduction

 I'm new to the forum and have found a wealth of information! The search feature was particularly handy but a little slow. I also noticed people asking the same questions over and over and thought it would save everyone time by compiling a megaIndex/FAQ type document. Instead of the usual cut/paste job that would be a pain to maintain I decided to just harvest existing information from the forum and link it directly.

I began by sucking down all the message threads I could find and have begun harvesting usefull information from them. I'll continue writing queries/searches in the next month or so and share my results as they come.

The HTML version is around 1700k (9 minute download on a 28.8 modem). There is also a ziped version available whichi is only 184k. You are encouraged to save a copy locally on your system to reduce bandwidth!

 The current keyword index is here. It's currently about 300k so will take about about 90 seconds to download with a 28.8 modem. The 6 digit numbers on the extreme left are links to the actual messages!

I made up the keywords in about 15 minutes without much thought. If you have suggestions for additional terms please email me (marty@studiosells.net). It's _very_ easy to add to this list. When it grows sufficiently large I'll make a zipped version available.
